Without Internet Now surf Web In Chrome eaisly. Learn How To Change Settings. || DailyTecNews.

Internet on mobile has become more of a necessity than a luxury, and the affordable 4G data rates have spiked India's internet consumption through the roof. Even then, there are times when we are left without an active internet connection and Wi-Fi in the area. Thanks to Google, you can overcome the feeling of being digitally handicapped at those times.
Google rolled out a new feature for its Chrome browser on Android platform, which has more than 2 billion devices, to help users achieve what hasn't been possible until now. Amanda Boss, Product Manager, Offline Chrome for Android, announced Chrome's new ability to allow users to surf the web even without a constant internet connection.
"When you're connected to free, unmetered Wi-Fi, Chrome will automatically download relevant articles, based on what content is most popular in your location," Boss said in a statement.
This can be a boon for those who are alienated in a new area or a foreign country and still be able to get some relevant content without an Internet connection. The feature on Chrome will automatically download content, such as relevant articles based on what is popular in your location, when connected to the Wi-Fi so the user can read it in areas with patchy or no internet connection.
The feature works best for users who have signed in, where Chrome will cache relevant articles based on the browsing history to access them later offline. This can come in handy at times of traveling by air when there's no active internet but the cached articles can let you catch up on some interesting articles.
But there's no clarity on what type of "relevant articles" Google will automatically download. It is possible Chrome will present articles that might not be what the user wants to read. The new feature is available in the latest version of Chrome, which can be downloaded from Play Store, if not already available on the Android smartphone.
In India, this feature could be proven extremely useful given the developing infrastructure. Besides India, Chrome users on Android platform can start using the new feature in 100 countries, including Indonesia, Nigeria, and Brazil.

A Challenge to AMAZON from MICROSOFT | Launching Amazon Go Competitor | Daily Tec News

Microsoft is working on technology that will Fail Amazon Go. Eleminates checkout lines from stores, in a nascent challenge to Amazon’s automated grocery shop, six people familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The Redmond, Washington-based software giant is developing systems that track what shoppers add to their carts. Microsoft has shown sample technology to retailers from around the world and has had talks with Walmart about a potential collaboration.
Microsoft’s technology aims to help retailers keep pace with Amazon Go, a highly automated store that opened to the public in January.Cameras and sensors identify what they remove from themself. When the customers are finished their shopping, they simply leave the store and Amazon bills their credit cards on file.

Amazon Go, which will soon open in Chicago and San Francisco, has sent rivals scrambling to prepare for yet another disruption by the world’s biggest online retailer.
For Microsoft, becoming a strategic ally to retailers has meant big business. In addition to developing technologies, it ranks second behind Amazon in selling cloud services that are key to running e-commerce sites, for instance.
It is not clear how soon Microsoft would bring an automated checkout service to market, if at all, or whether its technology would be the answer retailers are looking for. As the next big innovation in shopping, one that Amazon’s competitors cannot afford to ignore.

Don't Copy Paste WhatsApp messages. | Forward messages will Displayed by Forwarded Label. | Daily Tec News.

When you forward a message to another user or group, the message will have a 'Forwarded' label on top alongside the symbol as seen in the image above. It could be annoying as the recipients will get to know that you have forwarded the message.

What is need of this feature...???

Earlier this year, there were reports that the 'good morning' messages on the platform are becoming a menace for many users. Due to the forwarded messages, it is said that almost one-third of smartphone users are facing a space crunch. Understanding the issue, WhatsApp appears to have started addressing the issue as the forwarded messages consume a lot of storage space.

The Forwarded label will make it easier to distinguish between the regular and forwarded messages. Currently, it is available only for the Android beta users running the latest version of the app. It is expected to be rolled out to the stable Android, iOS and Web platforms soon.

Teens are found of youtube and instagram. not facebook

Gone are the days when Facebook was the most loved social media website among teenagers as services like YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat have taken over that sphere. According to a new survey released by the Pew Research Center on Thursday, teenagers are no more into Facebook.

Based on the interviews of 743 teens and 1,058 parents with children ages 13 to 17 across different races, household incomes and parental educational attainment about their social media habits, US teens have ditched Mark Zuckerberg-led platform for other visually stimulating alternatives.

The study ascertained that YouTube tops the list of most used social media platforms as 85% of teens confirmed about using the video streaming service. The photo-sharing application, Instagram followed the lead with 72% of teens whereas Snapchat was hot on its tail with 69%.

Unlike the similar survey conducted in 2015 when Facebook topped the list 71%, the giant has slipped to 51% this year, attaining the fourth position. Notably, Pew Research did not include YouTube in the 2015 survey making it difficult to ascertain the usage of video-streaming service 3 years back.
The survey highlighted the increased ownership of smartphones by teenagers could be another reason for usage of competitive applications. Compared to 73% from just a few years ago, about 95% of teens of different genders, races and ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds "have or have access to a smartphone."

The earlier survey had conveyed that only 24% of teens were online nearly constantly whereas the percentage has taken a drastic jump this year, taking it to 45. Despite the drastic increase, nearly half of teenagers didn't think it had any positive or negative side effects.
